Why and how to introduce meditation into business?
Stress, loss of meaning, mental overload, bore-out, burn-out... What if meditation in the workplace was a serious avenue to explore to respond to these contemporary challenges?
A discussion about meditation and the professional world.
In this interview, I had the pleasure of speaking with Héla Marzouk , a pharmacist specializing in the practice of meditation.
Together we discussed the growing interest in this practice in business, but also more broadly in human relations at work .
A personal approach that has become a professional conviction.
My interest in meditation has grown over time, through experience and the discovery of sophrology .
Once I entered the world of work, I became aware of the constant pressure many professionals are under. Faced with this reality, meditation appeared to me to be a valuable support : simple breathing techniques allowed me to approach certain situations with greater calm and perspective.
Meditation & human management: what are the benefits in business?
In our conversation, I explain why I now consider meditation to be a real HR lever . Among the benefits mentioned:
Improving the quality of human relations.
Talent retention , thanks to better listening and a more peaceful environment.
Better perspective and decision-making , by cultivating lucidity.
Increased performance through increased concentration.
Improving QVT (Quality of Working Life).
A practitioner's opinion: why does it work?
To conclude our discussion, I asked Héla what she thought were the reasons for the growing success of meditation in business.
Here are the levers that she identifies:
A collective awareness of the need for refocusing.
A direct impact on creativity, focus and mental clarity.
A short and accessible format, even in busy schedules.
